We mix our glazes manually and produce only enough for a particular
firing of the kiln. The effect of this is that our glazes produce
pottery items that are unique and full of character - no two are ever
the same.
In this world of mass-production and dull uniformity, our products can
present people with something of a problem - our glazes vary considerably
from one firing to the next. The final result depends upon so much -
the particular
glaze mix,
the thickness of its application, the character of the clay after biscuit
firing, the length of time pieces are in the kiln.
Because of this, it is not possible to match specific glaze
colours for small orders - we simply cannot guarantee that you will receive
a piece that closely matches one of the example colour images here.
Typical plain glazes that we produce are included below, but please remember
that these are shown only as a guide.
